One of our absolute favorite Manhattan restaurants right now is Almond in the Flatiron District, just a few blocks from BaubleBar HQ. The braised short rib, served with pancetta and gnocchi, is one of our favorite indulgent starters, which I like to pair with shrimp cocktail and oysters from the amazingly fresh raw bar. And that’s just a starting point: There’s chicken under a brick, served only on Thursdays, Brussels sprouts cooked two ways, and seriously decadent mac and cheese. Did we mention they also serve thick cut bacon? A must. We recommend ending your meal with a scoop of their homemade ice cream—on our last visit, the flavor was marshmallow. Just be prepared to feel like one afterward!
